Except for the fact that John Harvey-Jones is British, he might have been called a model of American individualism. This lively eulogy of the energetic Harvey-Jones begins on the post-WWII British docks. More than just another suit, this unlikely candidate for executive stardom was torpedoed twice in the Royal Navy, went on to work for the British Intelligence Services, worked for the BBC, and finally landed in industrial management -- his ultimate love.
