ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include:
· Responsible for developing and implementing the INDUSTRIAL DRIVES portion of the distributor’s business plan in conjunction with the RA Area Manager, RA Channel Management, and distributor management. Responsible for achieving the INDUSTRIAL DRIVESsales goals identified in the planning process.
· Responsible for supporting multiple locations (a cluster) as required
· Responsible for ensuring target conversion accounts, projects and new market opportunities are identified and successful sales plans are implemented to each.
· Focal point for all communications between RA and the distributor on INDUSTRIAL DRIVES
· Be a technical resource for the customer and distributor personnel for INDUSTRIAL DRIVES
· Responsible for launching new INDUSTRIAL DRIVESproducts to sales personnel within the distributor cluster. This includes product training, competency with demo equipment, and target account identification with sales personnel.
· Be fully engaged and responsible for the success of national promotion programs from RA on INDUSTRIAL DRIVES. Responsible for metrics reporting as required.
· Actively promote INDUSTRIAL DRIVES participation on local trade shows, customer seminars and other local distributor promotions as a way to increase customer awareness of A-B INDUSTRIAL DRIVES product capabilities.
· Be an advisor and advocate for appropriate INDUSTRIAL DRIVESinventory to provide excellent customer service.
· Ensure that demos, literature and other sales collateral material related to INDUSTRIAL DRIVESare up to date and available in sufficient supply to support the needs of the cluster.
· Ensure the general sales force (inside and outside) has a base level of INDUSTRIAL DRIVESexpertise necessary to support daily sales activity. Implement local training programs to address areas of need.
· Establish appropriate metrics to track the local success of INDUSTRIAL DRIVESproduct launches and promotional programs to meet local sales objectives. Take corrective action when necessary to maximize effectiveness.
· Participate in identified training activities for INDUSTRIAL DRIVESproducts.
· Participate in required Distributor Automation University training activity for INDUSTRIAL DRIVESproducts, HOT training or other identified INDUSTRIAL DRIVESopportunities.
· Provide feedback to the INDUSTRIAL DRIVESArea Manager regarding technical and commercial information, new products, promotions and assistance when required.
· Meet and maintain minimum levels of technical, marketing and sales competency established for the INDUSTRIAL DRIVES Specialist jointly by CIG and Global Channel Development through certification testing.
· INDUSTRIAL DRIVES responsibility may also include ancillary products that enhance the distributor’s market position.
